Walnut Creek Woman Arrested in Connection to Pleasanton Home Depot Robbery

Pleasanton Police investigators have arrested a woman and have identified a man suspected in a robbery that lead to a loss prevention officer being struck by a car driven by a person believed to be her accomplice at the Pleasanton Home Depot on Saturday night.
Police released the following update:
Ainslee Smith, 25, of Walnut Creek was arrested in Fairfield, CA on March 10, 2015 at 10:10 a.m. She was identified as the female suspect who entered Home Depot and stole several power tools.

Today, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 21-year-old Steven Proctor of Danville. He was identified as the driver of the gold Lexus that struck the loss prevention agent during the robbery at the Pleasanton Home Depot. Smith and Proctor have a dating relationship.
Pleasanton Police detectives received a call from agents from Home Depot regional loss prevention who were also investigating the robbery. They provided information of a similar crime that was committed at a Home Depot in Vacaville. Smith and Proctor, who were suspects in the Vacaville robbery, matched the description of the Pleasanton suspects.

A photo line-up was shown to the victim and he identified Smith as the one who stole the power tools in Pleasanton. Smith was located in Fairfield and arrested for the robbery. She was later booked at Santa Rita Jail for robbery, assault and also possession of methamphetamine.
At the time of her arrest Smith was seated in the front seat of the Lexus that was used in the Pleasanton robbery. A search of the Lexus resulted in evidence implicating Smith and Proctor.
Based upon the evidence recovered from the vehicle as well as information provided by Home Depot loss prevention, a warrant was issued today for Proctor’s arrest. Proctor, who is transient, is at large and is known to frequently stay at East Bay area hotels.
