Warrant Suspect On Pleasanton School Campus Arrested After Chase

Police said the man ran from officers when they approached him at the school.

PLEASANTON, CA — A man spotted on Pleasanton high school campus was arrested after he allegedly ran from police Monday morning, police officials said. School officials at Village High reported the suspicious man, later identified as 20-year-old Trevhon Golden, to police just before 11 a.m.

Officers who responded to the school and tried to contact Golden, who allegedly ran to a nearby yard. A police canine found Golden hiding in the backyard of a home on the corner of Abbie and Whiting streets. Golden was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail on a felony warrant for burglary and a misdemeanor warrant for battery, according to police.

Last Monday, student who was allegedly in possession of a loaded handgun was arrested at Village High, police officials said.

Police said the incident prompted a campus lockdown but school district officials said the school was not locked down.
