'Wild Call': A Poem By Pleasanton Resident Katrina Tempero

"When you hear the wild call, listen to the wind."

(Katrina Tempero)

PLEASANTON, CA — Katrina Tempero of Pleasanton, who traveled around the world before settling in Pleasanton, said she wrote the following poem to "rekindle my intuitive, creative, unbridled self."

"It describes the interplay between intuitive hits and overcoming the resistance in the mind that hinders action, intuition and creativity," she said. "That by surrendering to the intuition, you can be led to experiences potentially far greater than those the limited mind planned through logic and control."

When you hear the wild call
listen to the wind
It whispers of a journey
that is soon to begin
Eyes open you can sense
the rustling in your bones
No longer can you wait to hear
the calling from your soul
Glimmering in a dream you see
a life born from ancient roots
It waiting still as magnetism pulls
you North
Soon anchored into wild joy

expanded is your force
