Thrill the World, the worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller", is returning to Oakland on October 25 at precisely 3 pm.

Thrill the World, the worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, is returning to Oakland on October 25 at precisely 3 pm Pacific time. For the ninth straight year, people in cities all over the world will synchronize their feet to the Thriller routine at exactly the same time – 10 pm GMT. Pleasanton and all East Bay residents are encouraged to join in the fun.

Thrill the World celebrates people around the world as a community, regardless of political, economic or racial background and raises awareness and funds for humanitarian causes. Thrill the World has been organized by an international team of volunteers to bring the world together and has included zombies in Malaysia, Turkey, Romania, China, Columbia, Tasmania, and Rwanda and 16 other countries.

In 2014 the whole world will be thrilled at 10:00 pm GMT -- that’s 3:00 pm Pacific -- precisely. Besides scaring as many humans as possible, the local event in Oakland is a fundraiser for The People’s Grocery, The Black Cat Fund--ICRA and Music in Schools Today.
