It’s a play on the business concept of Return on Investment or ROI. It is more than Dale Carnegie’s first course in 1927 about “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” ROR is more about serving others. It is impossible to build a successful business, organization, or association without relationships. They are essential. Relationships have become the currency of the modern economy. Who are you in relationship with? Organizations that succeed in relationship economics and value the significance of ROR have what is called “relational competence”.
