• Porterville Police Arrest Man After Alleged Church Threat Video Posted on Social Media (gvwire.com) — Porterville police arrested a 42-year-old local man after a social media video allegedly implied violence toward a Porterville-area church and labeled residents as “demons.” Officers served a search warrant on State Street, booked him on threat-related charges, and are asking anyone with information to contact the department as the investigation continues. 
• 6 PHS students earn seal in sign language (recorderonline.com) — Porterville Unified is celebrating 295 seniors who earned the California State Seal of Biliteracy, including six Porterville High students recognized specifically for American Sign Language. Several of those students also earned the seal in Spanish, highlighting a growing culture of multilingualism and inclusion in local schools and the broader Porterville community.
