• Two-alarm grass fire burning on Arastradero Road near Portola Valley-Palo Alto border (almanacnews.com) — A two-alarm grass fire burned Monday evening along Arastradero Road between Alpine Road in Portola Valley and Page Mill Road in Palo Alto, drawing multiple engines, a helicopter, and a bulldozer. The 3.5-acre “Page Fire” stopped spreading by about 5:17 p.m., and smoke was visible from Foothills Park cameras while crews continued working and investigators probed the cause.
