ā¢ Local groups unite in Portola Valley for event, concert marking U.S.' 250th anniversary (almanacnews.com) ā Portola Valley residents are invited to an All-American Organ Recital on Oct. 18 at Christ Church, featuring patriotic and contemporary works by American composers. The 3 p.m. concert includes a Sons of the American Revolution color guard and a suggested $20 donation, offering a local way to mark the nationās 250th anniversary.
