215 Poway High Students Absent on Senior Ditch Day

The 215 students who were absent on Tuesday resulted in a loss of $37 per student, according to Principal Scott Fisher.
Fisher said he believed that many of the students were absent because of the the previous night.

“I have terrific respect for the kids in our senior class, and all we can do is provide them with information and look for them to make informed, mature decisions, and for their parents to play a role in guiding those decisions as well,” he stated in an email. “If we have the good fortune of reaching this game in the future, we will explore strategies which allow them to do both, and expect that they do so.”
