ARTS & CRAFTS MARKET AT THE PVGC FLOWER SHOW APRIL 12

The Poway Arts & Crafts Guild will hold a special Arts & Crafts Market in conjunction with the Poway Valley Garden Club's Annual Standard Flower Show on Saturday, April 12 in Old Poway Park. Hours for both events are 9 am to 3 pm. Old Poway Park is located at 14134 Midland Road in Poway. For more information call (858) 486-3497.

Poway Arts & Crafts Guild members and guest artists will set up around the park's fountain between the bandstand and the train depot. The Arts & Crafts Market will include works in metal, wood, fabric, fibers, clay, glass, soap making, photography and painting. Among approximately eighteen artists who are scheduled to participate are: Joanie Laib, Nantucket basket maker; Doris Nixon, seamstress specializing in children's clothing; Judy McCutcheon, mosaic garden art; Lynn Wolsey, traditional games & puzzles; Valerie Ann Bailey, silversmith; Dennis & Leslie Caldwell, woodworking; Richard Salazar & Don Leo, photographers.

The Poway Valley Garden Club's Annual Standard Flower Show takes place throughout the Park's historical buildings  and is FREE to the public. Floral arrangements and horticultural specimens will be on view in the Templers Hall, the Porter House, the Heritage Museum and the Nelson House and the popular plant sale returns to the Old Poway Park bandstand. Early arrival is suggested for the best selection at the plant sale as it sells out early each year.
