Pauline Getz has faced "several recessions" in her 30 years of practice, but it hasn't stopped her from finding success. Getz, of Poway Premium Partners winner , opened her firm in 1996 before opening an office in the Poway Business Park in 2001. Getz, who specializes in business law, began as a receptionist for a law firm after college, then climbed the ranks to become a secretary and paralegal before earning her law degree and passing the bar. Now, she calls herself an "entrepreneurial voyeur." "I often tell people I'm an 'entrepreneurial voyeur' because, as a business lawyer, I've spent my career looking in on my clients in their ventures," she said. After three decades of hard work, Getz offers one piece of advice for aspiring lawyers. "One lesson I have learned along the way is that it is during these times that you must continue business development: be visible, strengthen relationships, reach out to help other people and businesses," she said.
