Best Recreation in Poway: Lake Poway

Created in 1972, attracts people from all over Southern California.

The lake, which is the winner of the Poway Premium Partners' poll for Best Recreation in Poway, serves the needs of different types of people, said the city of Poway's Community Service Manager Belinda Romero.

Romero said the surrounding trails cater to the adventurer while families can enjoy affordable outdoor recreation.

Fishing Days and camp programs also serve the community well, Romero said.

“Lake Poway has an incredibly diverse offering of both passive and active recreation and there truly is something for everyone,” she said.

The lake also serves as a water supply for locals.
