LAKE POWAY TROUT SEASON
BOAT DOCK IS OPEN AND FISHING AND RENTAL BOATS ARE AVAILABLE
Lake Poway stocked 1,500 lbs. of rainbow trout on December 16th.
The trout have been biting best off the shoreline by the fishing pier, Half Moon Bay and the North Shore. The trout are starting to spread out more and are now in Hidden Bay and going to deeper water. PowerBait, mini-jigs and nightcrawlers have been the best baits for trout. The Bass bite has been consistent the last few weeks, mostly off the boats on drop-shot or lures.
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information.
