Coming to Poway: SD Gymnastics Opening Largest Gym This Spring

The region's most established gymnastics and parkour provider continues to expand with the pending opening of its seventh and largest location. San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour will open in Poway this spring at 12630 Poway Rd Space D1.

At over 10,000 square feet, the new Poway location will offer extensive programs and classes for kids from ages 0-17 with progressive choices for everyone from absolute beginners to competitive athletes. Similar to other San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour locations, this location will offer traditional gymnastics and parkour apparatus under one roof such as a 30 ft tumbltrak (trampoline), recreational and competitive uneven bars, competition level balance beams, large 40x40 spring floor, a 22 ft climbing rope and and a parkour warped wall and enhanced modular parkour obstacles.

Since opening its first location in Point Loma 18 years ago, San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour has grown into the area’s largest operator with locations in all corners of the county and thousands of kids taking part in any number of gymnastics and parkour classes, after school activities, Kids’ Night Out, camps and more.

"We have proudly served the San Diego community for nearly two decades and are thrilled to open our newest, largest spot in Poway filling a need for local families," said San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour CEO Paige Conroy. San Diego Gymnastics opened their first location in Point Loma in 2008 when owners Christina and Doug Grady saw an opportunity after driving their daughter 30+ minutes each way to gymnastics three times a week while each working full time jobs; no nearby location was available.

Over the years, the company expanded to Chula Vista with a location at Otay Ranch Town Center in 2013, then to La Mesa at Grossmont Center in 2017 and La Costa in early 2021, along with the relocation of the original Point Loma gym to the Midway District in mid 2021, Mission Valley opening 2023 and Rancho Bernardo opening in 2024.
