E-Waste Event to Benefit PUSD
An e-waste recycling event on May 19 will serve as a fundraiser for Poway schools.

Did you know, according to dosomething.org, the United States collectively dumps between 300 million and 400 million electronic items per year, and less than 20 percent of that e-waste is recycled?
This weekend, do something about that statistic while helping out our local schools. The Poway High School Robotics Team and IMS Recycling are teaming up on Saturday for an that will benefit both the school and our environment.
Residents can bring their various e-waste items to on May 19, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and IMS Recycling will donate all of the collection proceeds back to schools. Acceptable items at this event include:

- Computers
- CPUS, motherboards, RAM sticks, etc.
- Drives of all kind (hard, floppy, ZIP, etc.)
- Networking equipment, like cords, cables and routers
- Photocopiers, fax machines and calculators
- Televisions, DVD players, etc.
- Toasters, blenders, coffeemakers
- Digital cameras and camcorders
- And more

This event benefits any school you chose in the Poway Unified School District. When you drop off your items, identify the school you wish to give back to and you’ll receive a percentage of the total revenue received based upon school participation. Poway Adult School can be named.

Poway High’s PTA has also arranged for a paper shredder to be at this event, so bring your sensitive documents to be shredded for just $5 a box.
