Contemporary Study: A Five Week Immersion into Christianity and Islam

This five week study facilitated by the Rev. Bill Zettinger aims to help us understand the primary similarities and differences between our religions in the hope that a greater understanding will foster tolerance at a time when our secular world seems to be pushing us more and more towards hostility.

We will study aspects of Jesus and Mohammed—the early years of their ministry; the conflicts; apostles and caliphs; schisms and denominations; the Bible and the Quran; the pillars of faith; primary theological beliefs and differences;
culture and the role of women; violence and warfare; and most importantly the
future.
