So you think you are an Hourglass "High Five" Everyone wants to be an hourglass, however there are subtle differences to watch out for and more tricks for you to take notice of. If your bottom is slightly larger than your top half then experiment with Triangle/Pear Shapes also.

TIP #3 The Belt is your friend! Wear it on the smallest part of your waist. Also give thought to the width of the belt as this changes the proportions and look of every outfit, to small and you become to big in proportion.

TIP #4 Tops

Ok, so your secret is to go simple and no fuss when looking at tops. Always try to go with a 3/4 sleeve and a v or scoop neckline. A princess cut, gatherings and hip flares are perfect for you. focus on defining your waist in everything you wear.

Be careful with tailored jackets, they will look fabulous on you if they nip in at the waist and flare out, however tailored clothing should be just that, tailored for your personally, as it's extremely hard to get the correct fit from the peg/rack.

TIP #5 Bottoms

ALWAYS BELOW THE KNEE, EVERY BOTTOM NEEDS TO BE BELOW THE KNEE!!!

Pencil skirts look great on you, as do bootleg pants and skinny jeans. Choose pants or skirts that follow your natural curve. Don't be scared of fitted options also, but remember fitted is not tight! as long as you have a good solid under structure you will be fine!
