LAKE POWAY TROUT SEASON
BOAT DOCK IS OPEN AND FISHING AND RENTAL BOATS ARE AVAILABLE
Lake Poway stocked 1,500 lbs. of rainbow trout on Thursday, January 13th.
The trout bite was strong along the shoreline by the fishing pier, Half Moon Bay and the North Shore.
The trout are also spread out to Hidden Bay and going into deeper water.
PowerBait, mini-jigs and nightcrawlers have been the best baits for trout.
The bass bite has slowed down along with the catfish bite but catfish are still being caught on boat by the Log Boom.
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information.
