• Woman dies from injuries suffered during alleged attack by ex-boyfriend in Poway (sandiegouniontribune.com) — A 43-year-old woman has died from injuries suffered in an alleged attack at a Poway home, and authorities are now seeking her ex-boyfriend on a murder warrant. Deputies say the suspect may be in San Diego County, Los Angeles County, or Mexico, and they've released his description as they continue the search. 
• Del Sur Elementary reopening pushed back to January 2027 (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Families in Poway Unified are now being told Del Sur Elementary's mold-plagued campus likely won't reopen until at least January 2027, extending students' stay at Stone Ranch Elementary and nearby facilities. District officials say they'll keep the temporary relocation in place until HVAC fixes, flooring replacements, and environmental tests prove the campus is safe, even if that pushes the timeline further.
