Poway Chamber's Dina Flees Embarks on 'Next Step' of Career with Marketing Job in Irvine
Dina Flees says she's excited to start her new job, but will be sad to leave the great "such a great Chamber and members."
True to The Jefferson’s classic Movin’ On Up, native Powegian Dina Flees has finally got a piece of the pie.
In eight days and counting, she’ll be trading in her title as membership service’s coordinator with the to become the marketing administrator for the Irvine-based California Association of Community Managers.
“This is the first time I’ll be on my own, paying my own rent,” said Flees, 24, who doesn’t count her stay at Arizona State University or a study abroad stint in London.

Just months away from earning a master’s in communication, the soon-to-be marketing administrator says that and her bachelor’s in design management and business will help her immensely.
The “next step” in her career entails promoting conventions, trade shows and seminars aimed at empowering property managers.

“I’m going to get to work with our 3000-plus members, and I’m going to get to travel all over California,” she said. "It’ll be a challenging experience, for sure, but it’ll also allow me to grow.”
But after nearly two years with the Chamber, the parting is bittersweet.
“While I’m excited to go, I’m also sad that I’ll be leaving such a great Chamber and members,” said Flees. “I really felt accepted and welcome. I’m going to miss them.”
