Registration Open for Youth Philharmonic Orchestra Winter Session
Beginner and intermediate string lessons available for violin, viola, cello and string bass.

Winter session string program registration for the non-profit Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (YPO) will be through Jan. 5, for beginner and intermediate string classes. Lessons are available for violin, viola, cello and string bass. The program will be taught by YPO Artistic Director Ulli Reiner, using the Strictly Strings, Strictly Classics and Mark O’Connor methods. Classes are Saturday afternoons from 4 to 5 pm at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 16275 Pomerado Road. In this program beginning students learn how to play songs by ear. Music-note-reading is gradually introduced into the weekly classes as students advance to higher levels of performance proficiency. Apply on-line at https://chms.wufoo.com/forms/youth-philharmonic-orchestra-winter-2018. For more information, please contact Ms. Reiner by email at info@yposd.org or by telephone at (858) 485-8114. The string classes are provided by the YPO, dedicated to enhancing the musical, social and intellectual growth of young musicians of all ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds.
