Skywest To Begin Daily Flights To Mammoth for San Diego County Residents
The flights from Lindbergh Field will begin on Dec. 15.

San Diego County residents will soon be able to take a nonstop flight to Mammoth Mountain, the ski resort announced Tuesday.
The flights, on 66-seat regional jets operated by SkyWest Airlines from Lindbergh Field, will begin Dec. 15 and run through the winter season, allowing skiers to forego a nearly eight-hour drive from San Diego to Mammoth Lakes. While four weekly flights will also be operated out of John Wayne Airport in Orange County.
"The new service will allow fans of Mammoth in San Diego and Orange County to spend less time in their car and more time on the slopes with the ability to get to Mammoth Mountain in about an hour,'' said Howard Pickett, chief marketing officer of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area.
