Storytellers will be spinning yarns in the Porter House at Old Poway Park for the Sam Hinton Folk Festival. Well-known San Diego Storytellers Marilyn McPhie, Charles Johnson, Jessica Baris, Patti Christensen, james Nelson-Lucas, Jim Dieckmann and Fred Laskowski will tell "Old Time Tales" (12pm), "A World of Nonsense" (1pm) and "Animal Tales" (2pm). At 3pm Mary Holma will lead a kid's open mic. Any kid, ages 5-12 can sign up to tell (not read) a story up to 5 minutes. Prizes will be awarded to all participants. Adults open mic will follow at 4pm. FREE
