Students at Discovery Isle Preschool Plant Gardens for Earth Day

Students celebrated Earth Day by gardening, holding a ladybug and butterfly release, and participating in other outdoor activities

Students at Discovery Isle Preschool on Ted Williams Parkway in Poway recently celebrated Earth Day by participating in a variety of outdoor activities to care for the environment. Throughout the day, students planted sunflower seeds in gardens, as well as released butterflies and ladybugs into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Students also went on a nature walk for an Earth Day-themed scavenger hunt, learned about recycling and created kindness rocks for their garden by painting rocks with kind words and phrases. Discovery Isle Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
