Authorities ID Ramona Man Killed in Temecula Wine Country Rollover Crash

TEMECULA, CA: Authorities have identified a Ramona man who died in a car crash near Temecula Wine Country.

The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Department identified Kevin Goedeker, 32, of Ramona as the lone victim in a solo-vehicle wreck late Sunday night in the 39100 block of Otis Street, near Buck and Rancho California roads in unincorporated Temecula.

The crash occurred at 11:50 p.m. in the front yard of a residence on Otis Street, according to the coroner's office. Goedeker was pronounced deceased at 12:02 a.m.

California Highway Patrol Officer MIke Lassig reported that Goedeker was not wearing a seat belt when, for undetermined reasons, his vehicle drifted to the left, causing it to leave the roadway. 

Goedeker was partially ejected from the vehicle as it traveled down an embankment, struck some trees and overturned, according to Lassig.

Good Samaritans apparently took him out of the vehicle, according to initial reports, the CHP officer said. 

Emergency personnel arrived and pronounced him deceased.
