1 Dead in Shooting at Pala Indian Reservation
Authorities were called to the scene just after midnight.

PALA, CA: A 56-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Monday at the Pala Indian Reservation north of San Diego, authorities said.
Deputies responded to the 11900 block of Ortega Road after receiving a call about 12:19 a.m. Sunday regarding a shooting at the location, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Todd Norton.
"At this point, it appears the victim was sitting in a vehicle when unknown persons shot several rounds into the vehicle striking the victim multiple times," Norton said.

Paramedics who responded to the scene were unable to revive the man.
Homicide detectives are investigating his death and the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office was working to determine the man's identity and notify his next of kin.
