
RAMONA, CA – After nearly breaking a high temperature record Monday, the weather was hot enough Tuesday in Ramona to break the previously held record.
With a heat wave washing over the San Diego region, the National Weather Service reported the high of 108 degrees in Ramona set a new record. The previous record was 105 degrees, and the all-time record in Ramona is 111 degrees, according to the NWS.
Hot weather is expected to continue throughout the week. As a public safety measure, an excessive heat warning has been extended through 10 p.m. Friday after it was initially slated to expire Wednesday.
