Second Earthquake Shakes San Diego County

A second earthquake was recorded Tuesday morning in San Diego County.

SAN DIEGO — A second earthquake was recorded Tuesday morning in San Diego County.

The quake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 struck at 11:05 a.m. about 17 miles southeast of the unincorporated community Ocotillo Wells.

The first earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.6 struck near Lake Henshaw.

The quake was recorded at 9:21 a.m. roughly 1.5 miles southeast of Lake Henshaw, a reservoir at the base of Palomar Mountain. Shaking for that quake was reported across San Diego County and in parts of Orange and Riverside counties.
