• SunLine Transit Offers Free rides to Health Summit (ukenreport.com) — Rancho Mirage residents can get free SunLine bus rides to the Healthy Desert Healthy You Summit at Omni Rancho Las Palmas on September 10 by showing proof of registration. The free, one-day event on Bob Hope Drive will feature panels on healthcare access, mental health, healthcare workforce development, and housing, giving locals a no-cost way to explore key community health issues.
   

• Storyliving by Disney Inspires Local Students Through STEAM Challenge (nbcpalmsprings.com) — Rancho Mirage just hosted a Storyliving by Disney STEAM challenge where local students designed energy-efficient homes and Rube Goldberg machines at the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert. Partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs, organizers also sent kids home with museum memberships and school-supply backpacks, extending the learning benefits well beyond the one-day event.

Officers testified they found a damaged Porsche Cayenne with paint transfer and a coolant leak at the Rancho Mirage address, as the judge weighs whether the murder and hit-and-run charges will proceed to trial.
