• CSD Improvements Discusses New Culvert Failures (therivervalleytimes.com) — Rancho Murieta’s CSD has found four new drainage failures on the country club’s north course and is considering bundling repairs into one construction project once responsibility is confirmed. Officials also outlined upcoming culvert work at the Murieta Equestrian Center, lake vegetation harvesting, key equipment purchases, and final costs for the Yellow Bridge sewer repair.

• Manganese Alert Lifted; Questions Remain (therivervalleytimes.com) — Rancho Murieta’s water district briefly warned families to use bottled water for infants after manganese levels hit federal maximums, then lifted the alert less than 13 hours later. Officials say levels are back to normal but haven’t yet explained what caused the spike, how high it went, or exactly where it was detected, leaving many residents waiting for clearer answers.

• Energy and Commerce Advances Two Matsui Bills Targeting Toxic Chemical Exposure, Life-Saving Patient Care (egcitizen.com) — Two bipartisan bills backed by Rep. Doris Matsui have advanced in Congress, aiming to reduce toxic flame retardant exposure in vehicles and renew national stem cell and cord blood programs. Rancho Murieta is specifically noted as remaining within Matsui’s redrawn 7th District, meaning local residents would continue to be represented as these health and safety measures move forward.
