Save The Date: Webb Park's 12th Annual Pancake Festival to Honor Our Military

The Rancho Bernardo Historical Society presents its 12th Annual Pancake Festival, this Memorial Day, May 29, at Webb Park.

The Rancho Bernardo Historical Society presents its 12th Annual Pancake Festival, on Memorial Day, May 29th, at Webb Park. As this event has always been dedicated to honoring our military, those who have passed on and those who are still with us, we moved closer to Webb Park. Here, the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, #VFW 3766, the largest and oldest war veterans service organization honor our military in a beautiful celebration each year for all who have served, so that we may enjoy our freedom!

Each year, we invite all who served to bring a photo of themselves in uniform, which we scan and return on the spot, and post to our permanent Wall of Honor.

This year we expect to increase our number of guests. We have excellent parking, and more activities for children: Face Painting, Balloon animals, and tile painting! Your tile will be affixed to the outside of the museum for all to enjoy! There is a fantastic door prize each year just for coming, and a wonderful assortment of raffle prizes.

We are always delighted to include the help and support of local youth groups, give them a chance to learn about volunteering so they become the Rotarians, Kiwanis, and Lions, etc., of tomorrow. We have enlisted Miss Rancho Bernardo and Miss Teen Rancho Bernardo, Girl Scout Troop 8157, Boy Scout Troop 685, and local high school Key Clubs. Besides the satisfaction of serving, we reward these future leaders with a breakfast of Thanks!

Breakfast consists of the light, fluffy works of art perfected by Kiwanis Club of Rancho Bernardo, plain and blueberry, sausage, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee – a meal fit to set before a queen!

I invite you to visit the Rancho Bernardo History Museum at the historic Bernardo Winery, 13330 Paseo Del Verano, and enjoy our extensive displays. Our newest is the hand built Mudwagon, a slightly smaller stage coach, which you may have seen in the 4th of July parade last year! We offer a free monthly Speaker Series, and you can find past speakers on You Tube, via our website http://rbhistory.org/ And visit us at the annual Cultural Center we host at the RB Alive! Street Fair!

We would be so appreciative if you could support the great work of the Rancho Bernardo Historical Society by becoming a Sponsor for this year’s 12th Annual Pancake Festival.

Thank you so much for helping us to Move History Forward!
