2016 Concert Series Finale for the Poway Symphonette to be May 29
Decorah Bald Eagle Violin Concerto"The Arrival of Spring" to be Featured
The Poway Symphonette will present its 2016 Concert Series Finale on Sunday, May 29, at 7 pm. They will be performing Corelli, Vivaldi, and Bach, as well as the Decorah Bald Eagle Violin Concerto “The Arrival of Spring” and "Jasmine Flower," an alluring Chinese folk song. The free concert will be at Incarnation Lutheran Church, 16889 Espola Road.
This unique community chamber orchestra is truly a collage of area musicians, that include high school students, music educators, retired and professional musicians. Part of the Poway Unified School District Adult School, it is open to musicians of all ages. In the summer of 2016 they will travel to Beijing, Xian and Shanghai, China to perform in numerous concert halls. Registration for the fall semester begins in August.
This chamber group is led by its founder, Ulli Reiner, Orchestra Director for the Poway Unified School District. She is also the Concertmaster of the Palomar College Symphony Orchestra and is the founder and Concertmaster of the Poway Symphony Orchestra.
