New York Times bestselling author Jerry Jenkins is the keynote speaker for the Oct. 24 San Diego Christian Writers Guild writers conference. Agents, editors, and best-selling authors will offer workshops and consultation, and Jenkins will lead a “Thick-Skinned Critique” in-depth writing workshops. The conference, for experienced and beginning writers, is Saturday, Oct 24, 8 am-4:30 pm at Maranatha Chapel 10752 Coastwood Rd, San Diego, CA 92127.

Jenkins has written 186 books; 21 have been New York Times bestsellers. Other faculty include literary agents Blythe Daniel and Tawny Johnson; Senior Acquisitions editor for Bethany and Chosen Books, Kim Bangs; best-selling novelist Susan Meissner; LampPost publisher Brett Burner; blogger and author Marci Seither, writing coach Dr. Sandra O’Donnell, “The Organizing Pro” Marcia Ramsland and other writing professionals. Faculty will offer private, 15-minute consultations.

Included are breakfast, lunch and snacks, and opportunities for networking and fellowship. A book signing with Jerry Jenkins and chat with faculty is from 4:30-5:15 Saturday.
