Open Registration: Carlsbad Tax Day Shred With Coast Waste Management

Registration to open through April 13.

Coast Waste Management announced that it will be partnering with the City of Carlsbad Recycling and Trash Program to host a free document shredding event for Carlsbad residents. This year’s event will be held on April 15 “Tax Day”. Carlsbad residents are invited to bring up to three standard size office storage boxes of their documents containing personal and confidential information to be shred at no charge.

Registration is required and is open March 20 – April 13. Carlsbad residents may register for this year’s “Tax Day” shred event by logging on to Waste Management of North County’s website: http://northcounty.wm.com and selecting City of Carlsbad.

This event which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 15 “Tax Day” from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 5815 El Camino Real in Carlsbad is open to City of Carlsbad residents only and registering for the event is required. When registering, residents will have the ability to choose the time they drop off their documents.

This year’s shredding event is part of the city’s 2017 Earth Month campaign, designed to encourage recycling and increase awareness of sustainable practices in Carlsbad. The campaign was created to support California’s ambitious goal of 75 percent recycling or source reduction of solid waste by 2020 calling for the state and the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to take a statewide approach to decreasing California’s reliance on landfills.
