Driver Seriously Injured After Running Red Light In Rancho Penasquitos
Police said the driver sustained serious but non-life threatening internal injuries.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorist ran a stoplight on a Rancho Penasquitos street Wednesday, causing a collision that left him seriously injured, authorities reported.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the 43-year-old man was heading west on Carmel Mountain Road when he ran a red light at the intersection of Sparren Avenue shortly after 8 a.m., sending his flatbed Chevy truck crashing into a Toyota Corolla.
Police said the truck driver sustained serious but non-life threatening internal injuries. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
