Luau for the Little Ones: Turtleback Fundraiser

The Turtleback Elementary School foundation is holding a luau fundraiser on Friday.

The fundraising arm of Turtleback Elementary School is holding a family-friendly luau Friday evening.

The Turtleback Education Foundation is hosting a Family Luau on Friday, April 27, 2012, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Turtleback Elementary School, 15855 Turtleback Road. The event is a fundraiser to benefit Turtleback Elementary.

The event will offer food and fun for the whole family. Admission is free. There will be three local food trucks - Tabe BBQ, Mad Maui, and Food Farm, as well as Wahine Kai Shave Ice from Scripps Ranch. Activities for the kids include Hawaiian-themed games, karaoke, face painting, and more. The event will also offer a great line-up of entertainment, including the Sunset Strummers Ukulele group from Vista and a performance at 8 p.m. by the Pualani Hula Studio from Rancho Peñasquitos. There will be over 75 silent auction items, like summer camps, theater tickets, restaurant gift cards, salon services, and two roundtrip tickets to any Southwest Airlines destination.
