Person Killed in Crash at Escondido Intersection
BREAKING: The fatality prompted authorities to close part of Centre City Parkway early Friday.

ESCONDIDO, CA — A 33-year-old woman was killed before dawn Friday in a collision at an Escondido intersection.
The woman was trying to make a left turn from South Escondido Boulevard onto Centre City Parkway when her 1995 Acura Integra collided with a northbound 2014 Toyota Camry about 4:45 a.m., according to police.
The driver, whose name was withheld pending family notification, died at the scene of the collision.

The other motorist, a 38-year-old man, was uninjured, Escondido Police Department Lt. Mike Kearney said.
It was not immediately clear who was at fault for the collision.
