Police Investigate Threat Against Rancho Bernardo High School

RANCHO BERNARDO, CA – San Diego police are investigating threatening messages spray painted at Rancho Bernardo High School. About 20 messages have been found on the campus, with at least some of the graffiti threatening a school shooting, police said Monday.
A video posted on Twitter shows at least two of the threats written on the wall of a building and on the ground of the campus at 13010 Paseo Lucido in Rancho Bernardo. The messages included today's date and 12' o'clock, followed by "school shooting" and "Florida was nothing."
A gunman opened fire on Valentine's Day at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, killing 17 people. A 19-year-old former student has been charged in the school massacre.

Authorities were notified of the messages at Rancho Bernardo High School around 6:30 a.m. Monday. Police said the threats are a felony crime.
"We take all threats seriously and investigate them thoroughly," police said on social media. "Those responsible will be held accountable."

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
