RB Chamber Music Festival to Feature Westwind Brass, Quartet Nouveau and Violist Travis Maril
2nd Annual RB Chamber Music Festival set for Saturday, July 8
The 2nd Annual RB Chamber Music Festival will be 10 am to 4 pm Saturday, July 8, at the Rancho Bernardo Library. Hosted by the Friends of the RB Library and Quartet Nouveau, the festival will feature the Westwind Brass from noon to 1 pm and the Quartet Nouveau from 3 to 4 pm. Also, a string masterclass will be presented at 10 am by Violist Travis Maril, the String Area Coordinator and Viola Faculty at SDSU and Co-Director of the SDSU String Academy.
The Westwind Brass will perform a program of brass music from the last 100 years including original compositions. The Quartet Nouveau will be performing a repertoire including Schubert's Death & the Maiden and Ravel's String Quartet in F Major. Between 1 and 3 pm, the public is invited to enjoy complimentary refreshments and meet the musicians at this festival.
Tickets are not required, although free-will donations are invited. All are welcome to attend any portion of the festival.
