ESCONDIDO, CA (JUNE 9, 2015) – To honor its commitment to give back to the community, more than 50 Union Bank Consumer Lending Group volunteers participated in a day-long home building event in San Diego Habitat for Humanity’s (SDHFH) Elm Street Community in Escondido on Saturday, June 6. Union Bank is a sponsor of the Elm Street Community and has donated more than $15,000 through its Foundation to SDHFH.
The Elm Street Community provides affordable homeownership opportunities for local families in need. Eleven new homes are being built, including one home to serve a disabled veteran and their family. The expected completion date is September 2015.
