Video: Harlem Globetrotters Stop By RB High
The basketball troupe came to recognize the students for giving back to the community.
The world-renowned Harlem Globetrotters spun into Rancho Bernardo High School on Friday to recognize the campus for a culture of giving back to the community.
The visit was part of a partnership between the Howard Johnson hotel brand and the Harlem Globetrotters for the 2012 Give Happy Challenge. Students competed against the athletes in mini-challenges, such as keeping balloons afloat for the longest, to win $2,500 for the school. RB High was selected to participate in the challenge because of its fundraising for the tsunami victims in Japan last year and the San Diego Food Bank.
Also invited were members of The Starlight Children's Foundation, which serves seriously ill children and their families.
