Youth Philharmonic Orchestra to Present Works by Reinecke and Parry

The award-winning Soloists Ensemble of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (YPO) performs works by 19th century composers Carl Reinecke and Hubert Parry at 7 pm Friday, May 6. The performance will be at the Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church, 17010 Pomerado Road.

Guest trumpet John Wilds from the San Diego Symphony, joins the Ensemble, under the baton of Alyze Dreiling, YPO Artistic Director and Conductor. Performing the beloved 'Thais Meditation' by Massanet will be violinist Anh Do. Also, cellist Derek Orlowski will perform Tchaikovsky's 'Pezzo Capriccioso.'

This concert is free and open to the public. The non-profit Youth Philharmonic Orchestra is dedicated to enhancing the musical, social and intellectual growth of young musicians of all ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds, through inspired instruction, dynamic ensemble rehearsals and exceptional performances.
