RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The City of Rancho Santa Margarita was recognized as a 2026 Fire Risk Reduction Community, city officials said this week.
"The designation reflects years of collaboration between the city, Orange County Fire Authority, OC Sheriff's Department, RSM CERT, Community Associations of Rancho, Firewise USA communities and residents working together to reduce wildfire risk," the city said in a statement.
According to officials, the designation directly benefits residents in the following ways:
