Antiques Roadshow, Rancho Santa Margarita-Style

Senior community Park Terrace is bringing in appraisers who will provide service in exchange for donated food items.

From the city of Rancho Santa Margarita:

Park Terrace, a Kisco Senior Living Community is hosting the city’s first “Antique Roadshow.” Titled, “Hunt for Treasure,” the event allows anyone to bring their antiques or family heirlooms in for a verbal assessment by two certified antique appraisers.

Items to be appraised should be in a box that can be carried in your arms. In lieu of large items such as furniture, a photograph can be used.

The community event is open to the public and is also a fundraiser where individuals or families can donate food items for the Saddleback Church’s Community Food Pantry.

Pre-registration is required and must be completed by September 29th.

Who: Open to the public – Admission is free, but food donations encouraged

Where: Park Terrace Senior Center, 21952 Buena Suerte in Rancho Santa Margarita

When: 1–4 p.m. Oct. 3.

Why: For free appraisal and to donate food

Event appraisers are Dan and Suki Wilson, Certified Antique Appraisers with more than 12 years’ experience conducting appraisals of antiques, jewelry, rare books and estates.

Park Terrace will provide light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages as part of the event.
