Authorities Seek Help Finding Missing Laguna Woods Couple

The couple was last seen at their Laguna Woods home Friday morning.

Authorities today sought the public’s help in locating a missing Laguna Woods husband and wife who both have cognitive issues.

Carl and Therese Tarantino, who both have varying degrees of cognitive issues, were last known to be at their home about 8 a.m. Friday, said Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

“It is believed the couple drove away in their 1998 Honda Accord, California license number 5GMB136,” Hallock said.

The car is a purple or black four-door, he said.

Neither of the Tarantinos owns a cell phone, the lieutenant said.

Carl Tarantino is 83, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 140 pounds and bald with blue eyes. He was possibly wearing a green checkered shirt and a green sweater.

The age and a description of Theresa Tarantino was not made available, nor was their address.
