BERT and ACAC Award First Emergency Preparedness Credentials at Waste Management in Irvine

More than 100 recipients of professional credentials honored for their emergency preparedness commitment.

The BERT Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to helping businesses deal with large-scale emergencies until first responders arrive, today, at a ceremony held at Waste Management’s Irvine offices, honored more than 100 recipients of professional credentials from the American Council for Accredited Certification (www.ACAC.org) for their emergency preparedness commitment.

BERT announced the credential recipients from several OC companies including:

Waste Management, Irvine; Waste Management, Santa Ana; Abatix Corp.; Abbott Vision; CTC Global; Cherry Aerospace and The Willows Foundation among others.

Also in attendance were representatives from Senator John Moorlach’s office, the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce; Irvine Chamber of Commerce; Leadership Tomorrow, Waste Management and ACAC.org.

“These people and their companies have worked hard, committed much, and our communities are safer because of them,” said Bill Cunningham, CEO, The BERT Foundation. “These new emergency ambassadors will help their companies here in Orange County feel confident knowing they can take care of themselves and their people until help arrives.”
