ORANGE COUNTY, CA —Has it seemed unusually cold this month in Southern California? If you answered yes, you are correct, according to the National Weather Service.

February of 2019 has been one of the coldest on record in over 60 years. Elsewhere across the region, including Orange County and San Gabriel Valley, this February has seen some of the lowest recorded temperatures ever, the NWS reported.

Though the last week of the month called for "abundant sunshine" any rise in temperatures will not dent the current record, with the only colder February was nearly 60 years ago, in 1962.
