Businesses, Including Tutto Fresco, on the Move in Town Center

Tutto Fresco Trattoria, a dining instution in Rancho Santa Margarita, will be moving.

But not far.

The venerable restaurant owned by Stephen White will be leaving its location across from City Hall and move down the street into the Kohl's center. 

It's one of several businesses that are on the move in RSM.

BJ’s Restaurants—which to build a 7,453-square-foot restaurant at the location of the current 6,500-square-foot on Jan. 18—will have its application heard at the March Planning Commission meeting March 2.

According to RSM city planner Nate Farnsworth, BJ’s is proposing an aggressive work schedule because it's trying to reach an expansion goal and because it's excited to be coming to Rancho.

"They see Rancho Santa Margarita as a family-friendly environment for a family-friendly restaurant," Farnsworth said.

Also in the planning stages of a move into Rancho Santa Margarita Town Center is ULTA Beauty. It will be taking over the former Petco location in the Target center across the street from T.G.I. Friday’s. Its website already lists jobs available at the RSM location.

ULTA—the largest beauty retailer in the United States—provides salon products and salon services, according to its website. As of January, ULTA listed 389 stores in 40 states—with the closest store located in The District at Tustin Legacy.

Across the Target center from Petco, construction is under way at Tilly’s. Tilly's has been remodeling and has moved next door—into the space occupied by Famous Footwear until October of 2010. Now it's working on remodeling its own space, as it will eventually expand the store into the two locations. Old signage has been removed and a new sign—spanning the two storefronts—is up.

is moving out of the Target center, where it sits in the shadow of the Edwards Theater. The restaurant is relocating to the former location of Opah/Finbars in the Kohl's center. The new location is a prime restaurant spot with a full bar area in addition to the restaurant space. The sign announcing the move is already up at the new location.  Tutto Fresco recently , a local resident who has an inoperable brain tumor.
