The City seeks residents to serve on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Service Advisory Committee.

Authorized by the City Council, the CDBG Advisory Committee assists with the appropriation of local Community Development Block Grants. A portion of CDBG funds may be used to support programs that serve the Community's seniors, persons with disabilities, youth, and other residents in need.

The Committee is comprised of a minimum of five (5) City residents and a maximum of eleven (11) City residents, along with one representative of the City's Planning Commission and one representative of the City Council. The Committee will review grant applications from community-based social service providers and make grant funding recommendations to the City Council. Due to the nature of the CDBG yearly budget planning cycle, the Committee will only meet a maximum of two (2) times during the year, typically during the first quarter. Presently there are up to six (6) resident volunteer positions vacant.
