Rancho Santa Margarita incorporated on January 1, 2000, becoming the 33rd City in Orange County. As part of the year-long celebration, cityofrsm.org has been updated to kick-off the City's 20th year.

The website update includes improved global navigation and functionality and aims to continually improve access to public services and information for residents and visitors of Rancho Santa Margarita, while also implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and ADA accessibility requirements to make content accessible to a broader range of people with disabilities.

Along with an updated color palette to reflect the brand and tone of the City of Rancho Santa Margarita as a distinguished and established municipal organization, the City Seal also received a temporary makeover to include the landmark Bell Tower Regional Community Center (BTRCC) to honor the City's growth and progress over the past two decades of incorporation.

Long-time residents may recall that, at the time of the initial seal design, the City Hall and BTRCC had not yet been constructed, and it is fitting to feature the Bell Tower during the City's 20th Anniversary.

In addition to the website update, the first of many activities and events designed to feature the 20th anniversary of incorporation will take place on New Year’s Eve at the annual β€œCelebrating Family & Friends” event from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Bell Tower Regional Community Center and Civic Plaza.
